Blacklick Student Recognized for Community Service
Who would have thought that an eighth
grader will be recognized for her community service? Emily Carsey of Blacklick
is one of the three students who received an award for her volunteer work at a
local horse barn and her church. Apart from his community service at Benson Oak
Farms, she is also actively serving the old and disabled residents in their
community. Along with her parents, they clean the yard of their neighbors who
are too weak to do the work on their own. It is nice to know that at a very
young age, she sees the importance of community service. We thank her parents
for setting a great example and we hope that more adults and children will
follow the footsteps of Emily and her parents.
